13.8VDC regulated switch mode power supplies.
Powered from either a 110V or 240V AC input and suitable for use in applications that require a stable and regulated DC voltage output.
The primary advantage of switch-mode power supplies is their higher efficiency compared to linear power supplies.
This efficiency is achieved by rapidly switching the input voltage on and off at a high frequency and then filtering and regulating the output voltage to the desired level.
Switch mode power supplies offer several advantages. As well as higher efficiency, they are smaller in size, lighter in weight, and have the ability to handle a wide range of input voltages.
The specific voltage of 13.8V is commonly used because it aligns with the nominal voltage of a 12V lead-acid battery when it is fully charged. This makes these power supplies compatible with systems that are normally battery-powered and allows them to provide a stable power source even when the battery voltage fluctuates.
