One 12v battery as back
up |
The Mag8 only needs 1 x 12v
battery as back up supply. The Mag4 has a built in transformer
which converts 12v from the battery to 24v. |
Unlimited number of call-points |
Unlimited number of call-points
can be connected to each zone on the Mag8. |
30 fire detectors per zone |
Up to 30 fire detectors can
be connected to each zone on a Mag8. Therefore the Mag8 is able
to power a maximum of 60 detectors. |
Individual zone fault identification |
If there is a fault on a zone
the panel is able to indicate which zone has a problem via lighting
up the fault LED alongside the zone. This is situated on the
front LED display board. |
Sounder circuit fault identification
|
If there is a fault on a sounder
circuit the panel is able to indicate which sounder circuit
has a problem via lighting up the fault LED alongside the sounder
circuit. This is situated on the front LED display board. |
Fault identification |
To help the end user or installer
to determine the cause of the fault there are fault indication
LED's located on the front LED display board. These LED's are
marked as low battery, battery loss, no AC, earth, processor,
zone power etc. |
Individual zone isolate |
The Mag8 can be programmed so
that individual zones can be isolated (disabled) which allows
an engineer/installer carry out maintenance work without the
worry that the panel will go into fault condition. |
One man test facility |
The one man test facility enables
an engineer/installer to test all detection devices connected
to a zone one by one. The panel indicates its status via a series
of bleeps plus the sounders come on for one second to confirm
activation. |
Class change facility |
The class change facility is
an input, which can be used to activate the sounders/bells connected
to the panel via an external device. Class change facility would
be used in places such as schools. |
Repeater panel |
The Mag8 has a facility which allows you to connect a repeater
panel to the system so that it is possible to monitor the
fire alarm system from a different part of the premises.
|
Fire relay |
Device(s) which need to be activated
when the panel is in fire condition can be connected to the
fire relay i.e. magnetic door holders.
|
Fault relay |
Device(s) which need to be activated
when the panel is in fault condition can be connected to the
fault relay i.e. fault indication light etc. |
Plug in terminal
blocks |
For ease of installation
the connection terminal blocks can be removed and placed back
on the PCB as desired. |
