If a lampshade is to be fitted observe instructions
given above regarding minimum clearance distances. This MUST
BE OBSERVED to ensure clear airflow through the detector.
Failure to do this will seriously deteriorate the smoke detection
performance of the unit.
With the emergency light feature a conventional lampshade is
preferred, as an umbrella/fan type may affect light output,
due to the physical shape and material type of lampshade.
