Why use Mandrex Pilot Drills?
Many hole saw pilot drill bits have an angled chamfered slot for the grub screw to tighten on to - MandreX are manufactured with a flat edged slot. Given that the angled flat face or chamfered edge on many standard pilot drills causes a problem for the pilot drill to often fall out of the arbor, users are finding the benefit of the milled slot that, even if the grub screw is slightly loose, the pilot drill is much less likely to fall out or even spin whilst drilling.
